Russia is investigating whether Apple colluded with resellers to fix the price of its iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, the country’s Federal Antimonopoly Service announced today.

The authority said in a statement that since sales of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus began in October 2015, “the majority of resellers have fixed and maintained for a certain period of time the same prices for them.”

The investigation centers on Apple’s 16 main resellers, the authority said, adding that it had also identified similarities in the resellers’ prices for other Apple smartphones.

“The FAS Russia suggests that such a coincidence might be a result of the Russian resellers’ price-setting coordination by the group Apple, which has led to fixing prices in the Russian market and setting the so-called ‘recommended’ prices as obligatory,” the statement read.

Apple said it not did not have any comment.
